Alastair is currently entering the final stage of writing his PhD at the University of Technology, Sydney. His research is on stakeholder commitment over time and involves a case study of what helps or hinders improved business performance in ecological sustainability. Alastair already holds a Bachelor of Business Degree, Graduate Diploma of Employment Relations and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Training and Development and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Human Resource Institute.

His contribution to smarter, better business ranges from presentations at important conferences, the facilitation of seminars and/or retreats and business coaching. Areas of speciality include: facilitating change, building better teams, strategic thinking and leadership development. Alastair is an accredited consultant for numerous business improvement tools. They include DISC, Myers Briggs, Hermann Brain Dominance, GENOS Emotional Intelligence and Team Management Index.

When not travelling on business, Alastair's great loves in life include hiking, yoga, film and bike riding . All these interests involve meeting and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
