About Alastair

Alastair is one of Australia's leading thinkers and facilitators in modern business management. He is an inspiring presenter, expert strategist and award winning author. His personal mission is to stimulate greater enlightenment and innovation in how work is undertaken for the benefit of business and society. Alastair has been a presenter at major conferences throughout the world including USA, UK, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia.

Alastair's client list is now well over 400 with most business, not for profit and government sectors represented. Recent clients include: Family Planning Association of NSW,, NSW Ombudsman Office, Manly Council and Pfizer (Full Client Listing). Alastair has a proven reputation of 25 years as a consultant and coach who creates high performing teams and smarter better thinking. He is widely regarded as one of the best business facilitators in Australia. He does this by custom designing every project. Everyone leaves with a 'bag' full of tips, strategies and ideas. In 2011, Alastair began teaching Change Management at the University of Technology, Sydney within the Masters Program conducted by the School of Management.

Alastair's contribution to smarter, better business ranges from presentations at important conferences, the facilitation of seminars and/or retreats and business coaching. Areas of speciality include: facilitating change, building better teams, strategic thinking and leadership development. Alastair is an accredited consultant for numerous business improvement tools. They include DISC, Myers Briggs, Hermann Brain Dominance, Emotional Intelligence and Team Management Index.

Alastair submitted a PhD for examination in September 2011. The topic is on 'Individual commitment over time: Tensions and paradoxes of making meaning within the context of ecological sustainability'. He has researched this at the University of Technology, Sydney, where he completed a Bachelor of Business Degree and Graduate Diploma of Employment Relations. Alastair is now a lecturer of two classes in 'Change Management' in the Masters of Business Programs at UTS. Finally, Alastair graduated from the 2011 Sydney Leadership Program conducted by Social Leadership, Australia. This program assists leaders to make progress on complex and difficult to resolve challenges facing society and business.

Alastair is the author of four books published in Australia and overseas. They are Winning the Knowledge Game. Learning Unlimited, Creating Training Miracles (Rylatt & Lohan) and Navigating the Frenzied World of Work and over seventy articles (Publishing Record).

When not travelling on business, Alastair's great loves in life include hiking, yoga, film, theatre and bike riding . All these interests involve meeting and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
